Gautam Chukka

Gautam Chukka joins Chardan’s biotechnology equity research team as a Director, with a focus on SMID-cap biotechnology companies. He brings approximately 11 years of experience spanning biotech investments and portfolio strategy consulting, as well as biotech equity research. Prior to joining Chardan, Mr. Chukka was a senior associate on Evercore ISI’s II/Extel-ranked biotechnology research team, where he focused on SMID-cap and select large-cap biotechnology companies. Before Evercore ISI, he was a member of the SMID-cap biotechnology research team at Wells Fargo.

Prior to his equity research career, Mr. Chukka spent eight years in consulting roles focused on financial investor consulting, biotechnology investments and portfolio strategy. He served as a senior consultant in IQVIA’s Financial Investors Consulting practice, where he advised private equity and corporate clients on biotech/pharma investments and portfolio strategy. He also held consulting roles at Bluestar BioAdvisors (Torreya Insights/Torreya Partners), and at Deallus Consulting, advising clients across top-10 pharmaceutical companies.

Mr. Chukka holds a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from SRM University and a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from the University of Maryland.
